The Center for Excellence: Leadership, Governance, Philanthropy, in partnership with the Center for Non-Profits, is pleased to announce the launch of the Emerging Nonprofit Leader Award. The Emerging Nonprofit Leader Award is designed to promote excellence in the field by recognizing and calling attention to the promise and impact of talented nonprofit leaders. This awards program is being introduced as we celebrate the Center for Non-Profits’ 30th anniversary of service and leadership for New Jersey’s nonprofit community.
The awardees will be selected through an application process judged by an impartial volunteer panel of leaders of nonprofits, business, government and organized philanthropy.
The Emerging Nonprofit Leader Award will carry one (1) grand prize scholarship of $2,000 for the winner and two (2) scholarships of $1,000 for each runner-up given by the Center for Excellence to be used for any of their Executive Leadership Certificate programs. Semi-finalists will be recognized at the event and will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Center for Non-Profit’s 2014 webinar series free of charge. The awards will be announced at the Center for Non-Profits’ 30th Anniversary conference, “Generations of Impact,” on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Crowne Plaza in Jamesburg, NJ.
The winners will be selected by an all-volunteer Awards Selection Committee of representatives selected by the Center for Excellence and the Center for Non-Profits. The Center for Excellence serves as the administrator of the award program.
Completed, eligible applications will be forwarded to the Selection Committee for initial review. After the initial review by the committee, a maximum of five (5) finalists will be selected for additional interviews prior to a final decision.
