• Individualized tutoring is available from professional tutors and peer tutors chosen for academic excellence in their major fields.

STUDY  SKILLS

• The Academic Support Center also offers individualized assistance in study skills and time management.

PLACEMENT  TESTING

• The Academic Support Center administers a Basic Skills Placement Test to all incoming freshmen (with SAT scores below 520), transfer students, and part-time students.

RETEST POLICY

• Students may retake the English and/or Math Placement Test one time within a one-year period.  Students must wait a minimum of three weeks from their initial test date to retest.
• Students with special circumstances may petition the Director of the Academic Support Center at 973-443-8540 to request a retest earlier than the above guidelines.
• There is no fee for a retest.
