Female Entrepreneurs' Alliance

Objective
The main objective of the Female Entrepreneurs' Alliance is to provide a venue where female entrepreneurs in the region can network amongst themselves, providing business support and mentoring to one another. A secondary aim is to provide such entrepreneurs with the opportunity to access speakers on issues affecting business in general and more specifically, female entrepreneurship. The Alliance will provide a basis for women to explore resources surrounding them and understand how these might contribute to their success.

Why?

Female entrepreneurs in the country now make up nearly 50% of all U.S. businesses and Morris County reflects this composition. Unfortunately, women entrepreneurs often tend to work in isolation, particularly at the start-up stage, and do not readily have access to more established supportive networks such as those available to their male counterparts. A recent survey by NFWBO revealed that less women business owners had mentors compared to men.

Who?

All female entrepreneurs, business professionals and business/ community leaders are invited to participate.

When and where?

Meetings and workshops are held throughout the year, primarily at the College at Florham campus located in Madison, NJ.

Please contact Ethné Swartz at 973-443-8979 or swartz@fdu.edu to learn more about this organization.
