The Master of Arts in Organizational Behavior (MAOB) is targeted toward individuals who have attained, or who aspire to leadership positions in the future. The curriculum is designed to develop personal leadership competencies and to apply them in a variety of organizational contexts. Students work with skilled instructors and personal mentors to strengthen and apply their experience and knowledge.

All classes are held on alternate Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Intensive year-round scheduling makes it possible to complete the entire 42-credit program within 30 months. Most classes include a 'mentoring' component, where each student works one-on-one with an experienced business or professional faculty mentor and coach to enhance their personal skills and careers. Significant leadership work experience may be evaluated for up to six credits in the program.

Admission Requirements

  1. An earned bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.00 average in the major.
  2. A personal statement of interest and relevance of the program to the applicant.
  3. Current or past work experience and submission of a relevant work project to demonstrate ability to work with complex concepts and fluid self-expression.
  4. An faculty interview.
  5. Three letters of reference.

Articulation with the Certificate in Organizational Leadership

Individuals unable to commit to the full MAOB program may opt for the Certificate in Organizational Leadership Program which consists of 5 of the required courses below. Credits earned toward the Certificate can be applied to the full MAOB program at a later time.
