These graduate certificates are 12-credit / four courses within the Master of Administrative Science (MAS) program. The following certificate can be taken on a matriculating or non-matriculating basis and also can be taken as post-graduate certificates for students who have earned a graduate degree. The minimum number of students per class is ten.

Community Development (12 credits)

This 12-credit graduate certificate program focuses on planning and economic issues of housing and business.

Students are required to take three core courses from the following six choices:

  • MADS6611 Special Topics: Metropolitan America: Influence of the Past and Future
  • MADS6611 Special Topics: Environmental Issues and Community Development
  • MADS6622 Community Development
  • MADS6623 City and Regional Planning
  • MADS6624 Urban Politics
  • MADS6625 Financing Community Development

Students need to take one other course from among those offered in the MAS program.
