The MA Board of Corporate Advisors offers comments, support and guidance that make course offerings responsive to the profession, as well as the needs of the business community. The Board consists of professionals from all communication fields, and several members are graduates of the CCOM program.

Michele-Andrea Austin

Product Manager, Ernst & Young

Michele-Andrea Austin is a Product Manager for Ernst and Young. She is responsible for the design and functionality of global compliance products and acts as a subject matter reviewer and performs the duties of liaison and trainer for the local and national support and help desks. Prior to joining Ernst and Young, Michele was a Senior Technical Product Manager for Oracle Corporation where she was responsible for writing all technical documentation, including installation instructions, implementation guides, and other technical documentation for the Process Manufacturing product. Michele was also the Product Manager for all migrations and upgrades for the Process Manufacturing and Oracle E-Records communities. Michele traveled all over the world meeting with clients to create project plans, as well as giving training classes for the migration processes. In addition, she acted as a liaison between the development staff and support staff to ensure accurate information is disseminated to the client base. Michele built and maintained an internal Oracle E-Records system where the Process Manufacturing team uploads all documentation, including functional and technical designs, test scripts, white papers, documentation, and curriculum. This system offered electronic signatures and record-keeping to help in audits by potential and current clients.

Michael Cherenson

Vice-President, Success Communications Group

A 15-year industry veteran and the author of three studies on the impact of reputation, Michael Cherenson is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board and Public Relations Society of America. His expertise extends to all disciplines of public relations including corporate, marketing, internal and crisis communication, government relations, event management and interactive public relations. At The Success Communications Group, he serves as chief public relations counselor and strategist and oversees all public relations activities for the firm’s diverse clientele.

In October, 2003 Cherenson was elected to a three-year term on the national Board of Directors of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the world's largest professional organization for public relations professionals, with nearly 20,000 members. Cherenson currently serves as chair of the PRSA's Advocacy Advisory Board and liaison to the Public Relations Student Society (PRSSA). A past President of the of the New Jersey Chapter of the PRSA, Cherenson was honored with the PRSA-NJ's Service Award in 2002. He is a graduate of Ithaca College (NY), Ithaca, NY, and is an alumni of the prestigious Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) at George Washington University, Washington, DC.

Jeffrey Dunsavage

Corporate Communications Manager, McGraw-Hill Companies, New York, NY

Jeff Dunsavage is responsible for internal communications within McGraw-Hill's Information & Media segment, which includes the following global brands: BusinessWeek, J.D. Power & Associates, Aviation Week & Space Technology, McGraw-Hill Construction, and Platts. Jeff expertise is in executive communications, developing communication strategies for internal initiatives, and reconceptualizing the segment's intranet. He has worked for such well-known corporations as Standard & Poor's, A.M. Best, and FleetBoston Financial.

Guy Fielding

Research and Development Director, Horizon2, Theale, Berkshire, UK

Dr. Guy Fielding is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society specialising in interpersonal and organisational communication. He applies this expertise to helping organisations improve their communication with their customers.

Horizon2 has developed a number of innovative and distinctive approaches to analysing and managing customer communication, for instance the Prospect methodology which provides a systematic and objective assessment of the quality of an organisation’s communication with its customers.

He has delivered significant projects working with leading UK and multi-national companies, in industries such as utilities, telecoms, media, IT, travel and transport, healthcare, financial services and insurance, as well as for government organisations and Not-for-Profit organisations. These include the implementation of quality assurance and supplier monitoring programmes for a number of major UK organisations such as NRE, Powergen, Virgin Money and Toyota.

Marc T. Goldstein

Senior National Broadcast Negotiator, Active International

Marc Goldstein works in the National Broadcast division of Active Media Services, Inc., one of the world’s largest media buying firms, placing over $1 billion in advertising annually on behalf of clients. As a Senior National Broadcast Negotiator, Marc works with some of the largest National Television advertisers and agencies, negotiating, placing and monitoring media buys across national broadcast and cable networks. Previously, Marc worked as a National Broadcast Media Buyer for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals & Consumer Healthcare, and he also managed the media operations division of a small, entrepreneurial advertising agency. Marc is a graduate of the Masters of Arts program in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Stuart Z. Goldstein

Director of Corporate Communications, The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, New York City

Stuart Z. Goldstein has been a senior Corporate Communications counselor for over 20 years, including serving as spokesperson at two Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he’s been a lobbyist, run political campaigns in New Jersey for over a decade and early in his career wrote for a newspaper. At The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), he heads Corporate Communications and serves on the operating committee of the company. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), through its subsidiaries, provides clearance, settlement, custody and information services for equities, corporate and municipal bonds, government and mortgage-backed securities, over-the-counter credit derivatives and emerging market debt. DTCC is also the leading processor of mutual funds and insurance transactions, linking funds and carriers with their distribution networks. In 2003, DTCC settled $923 trillion in securities transactions.

Mr. Goldstein manages a staff of 20 as well as PR agencies based in the U.K. and U.S. Previously, Mr. Goldstein was director of Corporate Communications at American Express and vice president and deputy director of National Public Affairs at Citicorp. He began his career in New Jersey State Government as an assistant for Legislative Affairs to the State's Public Advocate and later was appointed as a State Ombudsman. In addition to his experience as a lobbyist, he ran political campaigns in New Jersey for ten years.

Mr. Goldstein’s research on best practices in Corporate Communications and the introduction of innovative strategies using technology have been the basis for a number of articles he’s authored for publications in the U.S. and overseas (www.stuartzgoldstein.com). His most recent article, "Information Preparedness, An Integrated Model for Communication in the Information Age," appeared in Strategic Communications Management magazine. He's also completed a book chapter for the Public Relations Society of America’s Practical Public Affairs in an Era of Change, which was published in 1996. His writings have been frequently cited, most recently in Managing Learning and Communication Systems as Business Assets (Fall 2004), Managing Media Relations (Fall 1999) and Risky Business: Protect Your Business on The Web (Spring 1998).

James Irwin

Assistant Director, Americas IT Implementation, Communication & Learning, Ernst and Young

James Irwin is a technology communication and implementation manager for Ernst & Young, directing change management, learning, and deployment projects benefiting over 105,000 personnel in 140 countries. Ernst & Young is a global leader in professional services, including accounting and auditing, tax reporting and operations, tax advisory, business risk services, technology and security risk services, transaction advisory, and human capital services. Country practices also provide legal services in those parts of the world where permitted. James previously served as vice president and general manager of a software development firm; as managing editor for all of Comcast Corporation’s New Jersey online properties, where he was honored by Ziff Davis Media for building the best Web site operation in the nation’s cable industry; and as a partner in a San Francisco consulting firm which was a regional leader in specialty business communication and public relations. He is a co-founder of media studio Walking Tour Films, serves on the executive board of the New Jersey Communication Association, and is an associate editor of the Atlantic Journal of Communication.

Caroline I. Langer

Manager-Corporate Communications, J.M. Huber Corporation, Edison, NJ

Caroline Langer has more than 18 years of corporate communications and public relations experience from both the agency and corporate sides of the industry. She manages employee communications programs for J.M. Huber Corporation, multinational diversified company with 5,000 employees. Her responsibilities include strategic planning, supporting mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, overseeing company intranets and publications, and consulting with business units and such functions as marketing, environmental, health & safety and human resources.

Prior to joining Huber, Caroline was senior account executive with Davis & Company, a leading employee communications consulting firm. She provided strategic counseling, created programs to support culture change, conducted and analyzed focus groups and developed conferences for Fortune 500 clients. Previously, Caroline was Director of Corporate Communications for IntegratedFoodTechnologies Corporation, a start-up high-tech aquaculture company. She also held senior account management positions with Ruder-Finn and Lobsenz-Stevens public relations agencies in New York, managing media relations, special events and trade show activities, and worked in corporate communications at N.W. Ayer & Partners advertising agency.

Her other leadership positions include President of the International Association of Business Communicators’ New Jersey Chapter, President of the Bowling Green State University Alumni Association’s New York Chapter and Vice President of the Greenbrook Condominium Association Board. Speaking engagements range from “The Generation X Perspective” for the International Women’s Forum conference on The Changing Workforce to “Employee Communications in Challenging Times” for Ragan Tele-Council Seminar. Justin Lash

Justin Lash is a senior consultant and the local practice leader in the Change Implementation line of business at Towers Perrin and is based in the Houston office. Justin has experience with employee benefits in multiple capacities, including strategic and personalized employee communications, call center work, client delivery, focus group facilitation and overall project and client relationship management.

Justin’s experience includes the design and creation of strategic, technical and personalized benefit communications encompassing the disciplines of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Health & Welfare for various clients, including multiple pharmaceutical firms, a large international banking firm, one of the world's leading insurance firms and multiple companies in the gas and oil industry.

Justin holds a BA in History from Purdue University and an MA in Corporate Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Brian Lewis

Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, Fox Television Channels, Twentieth Television and FOX News, New York, NY

Lewis oversees all corporate communications and public relations functions for the television and online divisions of the FOX Television Stations, MYNet TV, Twentieth Television syndication, as well as the television, radio and online sectors of FOX News and FOX Business News. Additionally, Lewis serves as a Senior Advisor to Roger Ailes, Chairman of FOX Television Stations and Chief Executive Officer of FOX News.

Lewis joined FOX News in April 1996 as Vice President, Media Relations and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications in December 2000. At FOX News, Lewis was responsible for raising the awareness and strategic positioning of the news division; creating and implementing crisis management plans; and interacting with parent company, News Corp., to ensure a cohesive corporate message. His accomplishments included launching the FOX News Channel (FNC) to critical acclaim and overwhelming consumer awareness; creating and implementing successful campaigns favorably positioning FNC against competing networks & corporations; handling all crisis situations that threatened the network; and positioning FNC to be the most talked about network in television. Lewis was also responsible for creating and implementing the media campaign for the FOX Business Network (FBN), which launched to unprecedented media awareness on October 15, 2007.  

Selected by PR Week as one of the twenty five “Most Powerful Public Relations Professionals”, Lewis oversees a staff of professionals in New York City, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. He is responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget and reports directly to Roger Ailes. In addition to being responsible for all external communication, Lewis is also involved in the marketing and advertising for the stations and FOX News.

Prior to joining FOX, Lewis spent five years at CNBC as Vice President, Media Relations and Corporate Communications. At CNBC, he created and implemented a public relations campaign that helped triple ratings and firmly established the network as the leading provider of business news. In addition to his duties at CNBC, he handled the public relations for the launch of America’s Talking (now MSNBC). He was previously Director of Media Relations & Corporate Communications for the Financial News Network (FNN), and was one of only 38 FNN employees retained by CNBC following the merger of the two networks.

Lewis formerly held public relations and marketing positions at Wishner Communications and Howard J. Rubenstein Associates. He graduated from St. John’s University and earned his Master of Arts Degree in organizational communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  A frequent lecturer on various public relations topics, Lewis has taught at the Fordham Graduate School of Business and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition, Lewis serves on the advisory boards for the Corporate Communication International Forum at Baruch College/CUNY and the Corporate and Organizational Communication Board of Corporate Advisors at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Pamela J. Principe-Golgolab

Pamela Principe-Golgolab is the President and owner of PNA Associates. Pamelas possesses more than 18 years of award winning experience in all facets of public relations, corporate communications, marketing and advertising. She is the recipient of the Kathy Hughes Memorial Award also from the Community Builders Association for her marketing and publicity prowess. She is also invited annually as a speaker and moderator for seminars on public relations and publicity during the New Jersey Builders Association’s annual Atlantic Builders Convention in Atlantic City. Ms. Principe-Golgolab is the authoress of numerous articles and features on real estate, business, medical and general interest issues and has been prominently featured as a special sections contributor for The Star-Ledger.

Michael Schneider

Michael G. Schneider is the Director of Media Relations at Global Crossing where he manages the external communication components of corporate reputation, executive positioning, crisis management, corporate earnings, and new media for the global telecommunications company. Prior to joining Global Crossing he served as Vice President of Public Relations at Success Communications Group, formerly known as The Cherenson Group, and was a member of Prudential Financial's Global Public Relations Department. Schneider has served as an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University's MA in Corporate and Organizational Communication teaching corporate relations, media relations, and oral presentation. Most recently he taught at Drew's Business School and was a guest lecturer at Rutgers University teaching corporate relations and message design. Schneider's professional work has earned him several Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Awards and Big Apple awards.

J. Lee Thompson

J. Lee Thompson holds responsibility for brand management, advertising direction, strategic messaging, product advertising strategy, lead generation, and advertising space and rate negotiation at JVC. While at JVC, J. Lee has held the positions District Manager of Southern California & Hawaii and also Product Manager of ProMedia Products including Professional DV cameras and decks, monitors, D-VHS, S-VHS, and videotape. J. Lee has worked for JVC for 6 years. J. Lee’s background includes many forms of television production. She began her career as a videographer and editor of corporate videos and news in the Midwest. J. Lee’s career in Los Angeles consisted of video editing first-run and syndication television using both Linear and Non-Linear editing systems. For four years in Los Angeles, J. Lee worked as an independent Avid, Photoshop, and After Effects trainer. J. Lee moved from Los Angeles to New York City in 2001. She holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from Buena Vista University. J. Ralph Villecca

Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Manager and Public Information/Communication Manager, Honeywell Defense & Space Systems, Teterboro, NJ. 

Ralph holds undergraduate degrees in Media Electronics and ommunications, as well as a Master’s Degree in Technical Communications. During his nearly 24 years with Honeywell, in addition to his current responsibilities, Ralph has held positions in Logistics, Technical Publications and Total Quality Management. Since 1998, Ralph has been an adjunct instructor at Farleigh Dickinson University teaching courses in Business Proposal Preparation, Business Presentations, Professional Communications, Technical Writing, Advanced Technical Writing, Technical Editing as well as academic and business research.  He also has lectured extensively on Computer Based Training (CBT) and transitioning to electronic documentation from paper documentation. He is particularly interested both through academic research and practical business applications in two critical business areas; the development of effective strategies for presenting technical information and how horizontal communication influences linear work processes. On a personal level, Ralph is a Volunteer Fire Fighter, and is also certified in vehicle extrication procedures, ice/water rescue and Incident Command.

Patricia Walsh

Patrica Walsh is Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the McGraw Hll Companies, New York City. Patricia was previously Senior Vice President of Corporate Branding Group at Ruder Finn Director of Internal Communications and Knowledge management at Dow Jones, publisher of TheWall Street JournalDuring her 17 years with Dow Jones, Walsh was director of international development, responsible for The Wall Street Journal’s branded pages in Latin America, Europe and Asia; editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal Weekly; and assistant managing editor of The Wall Street Journal Europe in Brussels. She also was a copy editor for the European and Asian editions of The Wall Street Journal in New York, for the International Herald Tribune in Paris and for several trade newspapers in New York.

Adam Yates

Adam Yates is director of corporate communications for Fujifilm. His responsibilities encompass corporate brand communications and include Web operations, corporate sponsorships, internal communications and the corporate airship program.

Prior to joining Fujifilm, Mr. Yates was managing partner for a NJ-based creative marketing communications company. Previously he was marketing communications manager for Becton Dickinson's Medical Products Group. In addition to product communications and event marketing, while at BD Mr. Yates was involved in the development of the company's community relations and strategic giving programs.

Mr. Yates joined BD after holding several positions in public policy and communications with Hoffmann-La Roche's Public Affairs Division. While at Roche he was assistant editor for the company news magazine, Inside Roche, and was staff producer for the company-sponsored Frank Field Health Test TV Series, which was distributed quarterly for national cable television broadcast. Mr. Yates started at Roche as a graduate student intern while completing his M.A. degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University

Shelly Zimmerman

Focus America, Morristown, NJ

Shelly Zimmerman is the founder and president of Focus America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that focuses on developing leadership skills in student and corporate volunteers through the development and management of community service programs to help impoverished communities. Programs run on a local and national level including an online mentorship and literacy program endorsed by the Director of Community Relations (and former NBA superstar) of the Chicago Bulls, Bob Love. Through Zimmerman’s efforts, Focus America recently was awarded the Daily Points of Light Award from the Points of Lights Foundation, created by the White House in 1989.

Ms. Zimmerman has her Master's in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her Bachelor's in Anthropology and Writing from Drew University. Besides running Focus America as a volunteer, she teaches marketing, management, and communication courses at the College of Saint Elizabeth. She also guest lectures at the University of Phoenix, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and County College of Morris. She is the author of "Imaging Sales 101" as well as numerous articles published in the technology industry. She is on the Board of Directors for "Chain Reaction for a Cure."
