Dear Members of the University Community,
Last month, I wrote to you about the tremendous start of FDU NOW, The Campaign for Fairleigh Dickinson University. Since the publication of the campaign story in FDU Magazine, the University has received considerable press coverage about this crucial effort.
I’m very pleased to announce several new major gifts that continue to fuel the campaign’s momentum.
The University received a bequest of $90,000 from the Alice M. Perry Revocable Trust to establish the Marlin and Alice Perry Nursing Scholarship. In total, FDU will receive a minimum of $250,000 from the trust when the remainder of the estate is settled and all distributions are made.
Alumnus and Trustee Thomas Mac Mahon, MBA’73, chairman of LabCorp., has made a commitment of $250,000 in support of the campaign.
The Holly Beach Public Library Association has made a gift of $100,000 to fund a scholarship for FDU’s business students. The gift brings Holly Beach’s total giving to the University this year to $200,000.
It’s been very inspiring to see the level of support and confidence shown by these and other benefactors. Their efforts, and the efforts of our many other supporters, continue to make an important contribution to the future of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Thank you,
Michael Adams
