President’s Update – December 14, 2007 – FDU NOW

Once again it gives me great pleasure to announce a major gift to FDU NOW, The Campaign for Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Alumnus and University trustee Vincent J. Naimoli, MBA’64 (T), has made a $1 million commitment to create The Naimoli Family Baseball Complex on the University’s Metropolitan Campus. Naimoli is the founder and chair of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Major League Baseball team and one of the business world’s premier turnaround specialists. In addition to his membership on the Board of Trustees, he is also a member of the FDU NOW Campaign Steering Committee.

The Naimoli Family Baseball Complex will feature a 500-seat baseball stadium, an artificial surface, lights for night games and a press box.

This is a wonderful and generous commitment to the University. The new baseball complex will be a beautiful addition to the campus, and will provide the Knights baseball team with an exceptional facility that will enhance our ability to recruit top student-athletes.

Including the Naimoli gift, FDU NOW has raised $29 million.
