Credit Union Membership
Alumni are eligible for membership in the Fairleigh Dickinson University Federal Credit Union. For information on rates and benefits you can visit the FDUFCU website at www.fdufcu.org or call 201-692-2736 for the Metropolitan Campus (Teaneck) branch or 973-443-8916 for the College at Florham (Madison) branch.
Career Development
The Career Development Centers are available for all alumni. Alumni can use the career library for full- time and part- time employment opportunities. In addition, computers with Internet access can be utilized for their job search. The Career Development Centers have formed an alliance with Drake Beam Morin, the worldwide leader in career management and transition services. Individual counseling appointments are available through Drake Beam Morin by calling 1-800-863-8684.
The College at Florham Career Development Center is located in the Student Center. Its office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Metropolitan Campus Career Development Center is located in the Student Union Building. Its office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Library Privileges
Alumni are entitled to use any of the FDU libraries. Alumni library cards are issued upon request by the Office of Alumni Affairs. Books may be checked out with the presentation of an alumni library card and a credit card as a guarantee of the book's return.
Computer Center Privileges
Alumni can use the computer centers on either campus by presenting their alumni library cards.
Auditing Classes
Alumni may audit classes at FDU for a fee of $410 plus fees associated with the particular course. The day before the semester starts the alumnus/a needs to go to Enrollment Services of the campus they wish to attend to select a course to audit. There is a special alumni audit form to fill out. On-line Courses
On-line courses in FDU's certificate program in management information systems are available to alumni at a special rate of 25 percent less than the standard tuition course. These courses also count toward the MS in management information systems degree and can be taken from anywhere in the world. Entrepreneurship Assistance
1989, the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies has been fostering entrepreneurship through a variety of innovative academic and outreach programs. Recreation Center Membership
Alumni are entitled to a discounted membership rate at the FDU recreation centers. Membership fees are subject to change.
Merchandise
Alumni can now order merchandise offered exclusively by the FDU Alumni Association, and other items with the FDU logo. Both the Metropolitan Campus bookstore and the College at Florham bookstore have a selection that can be browsed over the web and ordered by phone or fax.
Car Insurance
Alumni can save by insuring through the Group Savings Plus program with Liberty Mutual. The program offers special group rates on personal insurance as well as a number of special features including convenient payment plans.
