Design and create 3D models and animation for interactive game production. Professionals who actively work in the industry will team-teach this exciting course.
Interested in how to design a working Web Page model? Design your creation in a graphics application and export it for final construction in Dreamweaver, the visual web page layout and editing tool. Each morning you will explore how raster/vector graphics computer programs can express your ideas. Each afternoon you will learn the elements of Dreamweaver editing tools and techniques to prepare your files for Web delivery, ready for live viewing.
You are invited to explore a week-long investigation of the Figure in Art. Students will be exposed to both two and three dimensional portraiture and the figure in art. You will receive hands-on instruction in Drawing/Painting/Woodcut Prints, along with Mixed Media Sculpture and Ceramics. Create a group of related artwork from different media and ideas. Build your portfolio; prepare for college and professions in the arts with the benefits of your study in this course. Two experienced faculty members as recognized professional artists teach this one-week Studio Art intensive session.
Introduction to Acting Techniques
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Learn the basic techniques of acting. Students in this class gain confidence in their foundation to build performance and communication skills. Participate in physical and vocal exercises, teambuilding, imporvision, scene work, and audition techniques. Gain knowledge from eperienced theater professionals in your preparation for college and professional theater programs.
Acting for Film & TV
1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Explore basic acting techniques for the camera; learn to transition from stage to screen. Daily exercises include hitting your mark, close-ups, behavioral continuity, subtext and screenplay analysis - adding elements one at a time. Students will work on camera and evaluate their work on monitor with each class. Students gain confidence and freedom with the step-by-step approach
Write your Movie
9:00 to 12:30 p.m.
Take your own story and shape it into a short screenplay. Find out what experienced screenwriters know about how to put together material for a film script. Our intensive week of study is designed so you will leave with a short that is ready to shoot!
Make your Movie
1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We will pick a story idea from one of our classmates and get to work shooting a short-version, just long enough so we can prep, shoot, and edit...by the end of the week. You will leave class with an idea of what is required to get ready for a longer story, and your own production.
