The Master of Arts in Mathematical Foundations program is designed to prepare "Highly-Qualified" Elementary, Middle School and Special Education Mathematics Teachers. It is not an appropriate program for teachers who hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics.
The program is offered through University College with an administrative office located on the Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, N.J. The courses are offered at various off-campus locations. Each course is conducted in an eleven week time period.
Students applying for admission to FDU’s M.A. in Mathematical Foundations program may hold a baccalaureate degree in any subject area from an accredited college or university. Applicants also are asked to provide;

Elective Courses (9 credits)
With the approval of the student’s academic adviser, elective courses may be selected from graduate offerings in science, education, psychology, computer science or mathematics.
