- Members were encouraged to review executive council member expectations and responsibilities
New Business:
- Goal setting discussion: the executive council discussed and elicited feedback from new members to identify PAS goals for the upcoming year. The following topics were identified and discussed:
1. Participation
2. HR Process
3. Resolution of differences
4. Marketing/Branding
5. Volunteerism
6. Assessment of PAS members
7. PAS communications (website, email, etc.)
8. Incentives for members to attend programs and meetings

- Karen suggested that members forward questions to include in a survey of PAS members that could be distributed electronically to members.
- New Hires:
Karen will receive new hire information from HR and will forward to Barbara Dawson to distribute to College at Florham Executive Committee. Members will invite new hires to lunch to welcome members to PAS with a lunch meeting. In the past, Gourmet Dining Services provided complimentary lunch for PAS on each campus. Karen will discuss with Bob Valenti if this practice can be re-instated.
A lengthy discussion took place to help improve first-impression for PAS and other new hires. Mark Sapara shared the practices of other employers and thought perhaps FDU could implement an orientation program which engaged admissions and other key departments on campus to formally introduce new hires to others and familiarize them with the University.
Future General Board Meetings:

Karen sent an email and phoned the President’s Office requesting dates for the PAS General Meetings and will communicate with council and membership once confirmed.
