From the Trees, College at Florham FULL

Sustainable Campus Project

We promote sustainability efforts on both FDU campuses by supporting grassroots student/faculty groups and working with our facilities departments to raise environmental awareness, search for energy and waste savings opportunities, and help recycle materials from our dorms, offices and administrative buildings (supported by grants from the Alcoa, First Energy Foundations, and PSEG Foundation).

The MONNINGER LEARNING CENTER on the Florham Campus has achieved gold-level LEED certification status for its many sustainability elements. This is a great achievement.

FDU's Green Club at the College at Florham is participating in the INTERCOLLEGIATE SOLAR BOWL

During the 2012 - 2013 academic year, we:

  • Encouraged increased usage of recycling bins on our campus.
  • Again actively supported our 7th annual Green Day at the College at Florham and Earth Day at the Metro campus, which actively engaged hundreds of students from FDU and local high schools.
