Admission Profile for the Class of 2011


Admission Requirements

We recommend incoming freshmen have the following academic background:

  • 4 units of English
  • 2 units of history
  • 3 units of science (2 units of laboratory science minimum)
  • 3 units of college prep mathematics (such as Algebra I & II and geometry)
  • 2 units of foreign language
  • 4 units of electives (at least 3 of which should be academic in nature)

Important Deadlines for Freshmen Applicants

Jan. 15            Application deadline to receive priority consideration for scholarships and grants.

Feb. 15           Preferred deadline to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

March 1          Recommended application deadline for fall admission.

May 1              Enrollment and housing deadline (students who observe this deadline are guaranteed campus housing).

July 15            Fall semester

Dec. 15           Spring semester

April 1            Summer semester

May 1              Enrollment and housing deadline for the fall semester (or within two weeks of being notified of admission for spring and summer semesters)

Freshman Application Checklist

  • An Application for Undergraduate Admission
  • A $40 non-refundable fee (payable to Fairleigh Dickinson University). NOTE: This fee is waived for students who file an online application.
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation.
  • Official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Official transcripts from all high schools attended.
