New Jersey Nursing Initiative Faculty Preparation Program

As part of the New Jersey Nursing Initiative Faculty Preparation Program, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) awarded the Henry P. Becton School of Nursing and Allied Health a four year, $2.4 million dollar grant to prepare 14 graduate nursing scholars for faculty roles.

This program aims to prepare 14 RWJF New Jersey Nursing Scholars to become full-time nurse faculty members in NJ based pre-licensure nursing programs. This scholarship program is a collaborative partnership between Fairleigh Dickinson University, Monmouth University, and Bloomfield College. Students will earn Master of Science degrees as Adult Nurse Practitioners with additional preparation in education (FDU) or as Nursing Educators with advanced clinical competencies (MU).

  • Full tuition and fees for the full-time MSN Adult Nurse Practitioner Program
  • A $50,000 a year stipend (gross) for two years
  • A laptop computer
  • Socialization and peer mentorship opportunities

To be eligible you must:

  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  • Commit to serve as faculty in a New Jersey based pre-licensure nursing program for the first three years after graduation.
