ADMISSIONS DEADLINES

I. Admission Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or better
  2. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities in which undergraduate or graduate course work was completed.

II. Admissions Procedure

Students can enter the MAS program the start of any trimester:  Fall (September), Spring (January), Summer I (April) or Summer II (July). To be admitted:

  1. Complete the Application &  Registration & Payment.
  2. Fax it to 201-692-7179 or mail it to the address below. 
  3. Request official transcripts be sent from all previously attended institutions to:

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All applicants must submit official transcripts. For transcripts not in English, a notarized or certified English translation must  accompany the original transcript. A transcript is official only when it is sent directly from an institution to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Administrative Science, or when it is submitted with the application in a sealed envelope stamped by the institution.

Applicants to Master’s degree must submit official transcripts for a minimum of four years of previous university study.

Transfer and graduate applicants must submit transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.

English Proficiency – Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit the results of a test of English proficiency to the Office of International Admissions. Students from Australia, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and United Kingdom do not need to submit test scores.

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is the most frequently submitted test. However, applicants may submit the results of other recognized tests including the IELTS. An IELTS score of 6.0. A TOEFL-C score of 213 or higher or a score of 79 on the new TOEFL is recommended for application to Fairleigh Dickinson University The test code for the TOEFL is 2263 (Metropolitan Campus).

Applicants who have previously attended an American high school, college or university for more than two years and have earned passing grades in English courses may request that the TOEFL/IELTS entrance requirement be waived.

BILLING INFORMATION

You may enroll in one or two courses in each trimester to qualify for the Scholarship. International students in the US on F1 or J1 visas will have to register for 9 credits during Fall and Spring terms. You will be billed directly for the tuition payment after the start of the trimester.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

FDU is offering students an additional method to pay tuition through an “on-line” service provider, Cashnet Smart Pay.  They accept MasterCard, American Express, Discover & VISA.  To access this service there is a link on http://inside.fdu.edu/  All fees, tuition and charges are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the University’s Board of Trustees.

PAYMENT

Students are responsible for payment in full at the time of registration; however, the following payment options are available:

1. Students can present a voucher/ payment order (PO) at the time of registration. FDU will then bill the municipality.

2. Students who do not have a voucher/PO can participate in the FDU Deferred/Corporate Payment Plan. A 4% payment must be made at the time of registration and you will be billed for the full tuition after the grades are submitted.

3. Students can pay in full when they register for courses.

The University accepts cash & personal checks. All fees, tuition and charges are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the University's Board of Trustees.

BOOKS

Books are available at the Teaneck-Hackensack and Florham-Madison Bookstores. You may purchase your books at the bookstore or for a small fee; the books will be shipped to you by two-day UPS.

WITHDRAWAL

NON-ATTENDANCE OR NON-PAYMENT OF TUITION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN OFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL. Also, notification to an instructor is not sufficient. Students must notify this office in writing of their intention to withdraw from graduate study. An official drop form MUST be filed with the Office of Enrollment services. FAILURE TO OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW will result in the student receiving an "F" grade for the course. Additionally, 100% REFUND IS GRANTED ONLY WHEN A STUDENT WITHDRAWS PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEMESTER.

RECORDS

Change of Name or Address:
All changes relating to a student's permanent records must be made through the Office of Enrollment Services by submitting the appropriate form. Students are responsible for ensuring that the University has their correct address.

Identification Cards:
All students are required to carry University identification cards while on campus. These cards may be obtained at:

When on campus, all cars must display an official decal which is available at the:
